Daniel V. Flynn, VMD, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of
Veterinary Medicine. He founded the practice presently known as Georgetown
Equine Hospital in 1959. During the 1970's and 80's, the hospital provided full
medical and surgical service. In recent years, emphasis is placed on lameness referral and
sports medicine.
Dr. Flynn's interests include lameness of the racing and performance horse. He has presented
numerous papers and panel presentations on lameness and the purchase examination at national
and state meetings.
Dr. Flynn is a past president of American Association of Equine Practioners, the Virginia
Veterinary Medical Association, and is a founding
member of the Council at the Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, Virginia.
